15 YearsAkash Molkeri is the Founder & Executive Director of Punarvaibhavam Foundation, a mission-driven organization dedicated to reviving India’s civilizational wisdom to build a sustainable, resilient, and culturally rooted future. His work is driven by the belief that Bharat’s ancient knowledge systems, when interpreted through a contemporary lens, can provide practical and enduring solutions to today’s environmental, social, cultural, and economic challenges.
An engineer by education and a social entrepreneur by purpose, Akash holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from SDM College of Engineering & Technology, Dharwad, and a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Coventry University, United Kingdom. He began his professional journey with Tata Motors, where he gained valuable industrial experience before transitioning into the social development sector to pursue his larger vision of nation building.
His interdisciplinary work spans engineering, public policy, ecology, regenerative agriculture, traditional knowledge systems, indigenous cattle conservation, rural livelihoods, sustainable development, and community empowerment. He further strengthened this foundation by earning a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy from the Takshashila Institution, Bengaluru, enabling him to integrate systems thinking, policy frameworks, and grassroots implementation in addressing complex societal challenges.
Akash is also a Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher trained by the Isha Foundation under Sadhguru, having completed one of the world’s most intensive yoga teacher training programmes. His understanding of Classical Hatha Yoga extends beyond physical wellbeing to embrace conscious leadership, inner transformation, and holistic human development, principles that continue to shape his philosophy of leadership and service.
Under his leadership, Punarvaibhavam Foundation has developed an integrated model for rural regeneration through flagship initiatives including Vana Vaibhavam (ecological restoration and biodiversity conservation), Kala Vaibhavam (revival of India’s classical arts and cultural heritage), Gaukrishi Jeevanam (desi cow-based regenerative agriculture), Antarpatha (classical yogic sciences and inner wellbeing), KathaVijnana (Indic knowledge education), along with several other initiatives dedicated to preserving and revitalizing India’s ecological, cultural, and spiritual heritage.
His long-term vision is to build self-sustaining communities where nature, culture, education, economy, and spirituality exist in harmony. Through Punarvaibhavam Foundation, he is committed to creating a development model rooted in India’s timeless wisdom, integrating sustainability, innovation, and community participation to address the challenges of the future. His work aspires to demonstrate that India’s civilizational heritage is not merely a legacy to preserve, but a living framework capable of shaping a prosperous, resilient, and conscious society for generations to come.
