Gau Krishi Jeevanam – Desi Cow-based farming as a way of life
Gau Krishi Jeevanam is a flagship initiative of Punarvaibhavam Foundation, dedicated to reviving and promoting desi cow-based natural farming as a holistic and sustainable way of life. Rooted in the wisdom of Bharatiya parampara, this project envisions a regenerative agricultural model where the desi cow (Bharatiya Gau Mata) is central to nurturing the soil, enriching food, sustaining health, and elevating the spirit of rural livelihoods. Through this initiative, we encourage farmers to return to time-tested practices using cow dung, urine (gomutra), buttermilk, and ghee as the basis for fertile soil, pest control, and seed treatment. We train communities in Gou Adharit Jeevan Shaili—a lifestyle where farming, health, economy, and culture revolve around the cow, not merely as a producer but as a nurturer of life. The project also supports on-ground implementation of: Advanced-Jeevamrut, Panchagavya, and other bio-input preparations Low-cost farming techniques Desi cow conservation and native breed rearing Farmer workshops and capacity-building camps Desi Cow-based rural entrepreneurship Ultimately, Gau Krishi Jeevanam aims to build self-reliant rural communities, restore the health of our soils, produce chemical-free food, and re-establish the sacred bond between Gau, Grama, and Gyaan—cow, village, and wisdom. Let us return to our roots, with the desi cow as our guide—to farm with devotion, to live with balance, and to grow in harmony with nature.
