Dr. Abhilash Molkeri is a distinguished materials scientist, researcher, and technology leader whose work bridges cutting-edge semiconductor engineering, artificial intelligence, computational materials science, and advanced manufacturing. He currently serves as a Software Research Scientist at Intel Corporation, Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, where he develops next-generation computational models that enhance the reliability and performance of advanced semiconductor technologies powering the future of computing.

At Intel, Dr. Molkeri leads research focused on thermo-mechanical reliability of silicon devices, finite element modeling, wafer warpage prediction, and advanced chip packaging technologies including Foveros and Foveros Direct. His expertise combines physics-based simulations, machine learning, and high-performance computing to solve complex engineering challenges in semiconductor manufacturing.

Prior to joining Intel, Dr. Molkeri earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Engineering from Texas A&M University, where his research pioneered machine learning-driven material discovery, fracture prediction using graph theory, finite element analysis, and deep learning techniques for microstructure characterization. His doctoral work has contributed to advancing computational materials engineering and has resulted in peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Dr. Molkeri also served as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University, mentoring students and contributing to research in advanced materials and computational mechanics. Earlier, he was a Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, where he guided undergraduate laboratories and coursework in process control and materials science.

His academic journey began at IIT Bombay, where he completed an integrated B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Materials Science and Engineering. During this period, he conducted research on wearable biomedical electronics for health monitoring while actively participating in student mentorship, the National Service Scheme (NSS), literary activities, and sports.

As a Research Intern at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, he investigated advanced steels using in-situ characterization techniques to improve material performance for industrial applications.
